Nike: Back 4 The Future

Nike approached W+K to create an online experience for the auction of 1,500 pairs of their iconic MAG shoes (from the film "Back to the Future II"). Using a time-travel-based metaphor, we created rich desktop and clean mobile sites to showcase custom content, and track the buzz around its release. The auction raised nearly $5.7 million for Parkinson's disease research.

I worked with creative and production teams to develop the campaign including the presentation of "easter egg" content when users selected anachronistic time-periods, and selected and managed a local technology partner to build the system using Ruby on Rails and MySQL, which we deployed and managed in Nike's 3rd-party hosting environment and CDN.
